“Don’t punish varsity students who criticize the government”

Wow! Awesome! For those that fright to speak out, this is a benchmark for them to be more neutral and not fright to university management that was like to labeled student as supporter of opposition parties if their decision is dissent by student. The Deputy Higher Education Minister had given green light to the student to voice their thought out. At this stage, the students are in developing to understand what happened surrounding them. It’s better for student to analyze what happened to community and country than just thinking about study and entertainment. A good leader doesn’t arise in lecture hall but there emerge from response to community problem. Nowadays, there were many realities TV shows that being such of virus to our community especially teenager. Just ask 5 years old child about all reality TV show, just in short time they can answer correctly all reality TV show. Who don’t know about AF, OIAM, Raja Lawak, Mentor and Gang Stars. It’s such cancer to our community that paralyses the analytical thinking.
The student should be encouraged to criticize and not penalized because we’re still learning and developing to understand about politicos. At the same time, the students are the balance to government actions. Why university student must get involve about country matter? Because student are one of intellectual group, an educated person. However, they must distinguish between “political power” and what “political value” is. A critic is expressing an alternative view to another party not opposed.
